Pilates is one of my favourite techniques for good posture and strength. Pilates exercises are performed in a slow, controlled way in a relaxed atmosphere. I teach mat-based Pilates to help you achieve body control and awareness – leading to a longer leaner looking body. Pilates focuses on core stability – strengthening of the inner torso. Core stability is key for all physical activity. I encourage the techniques I teach to be used in every day life – core control is vital to all our movements whatever we are doing. Pilates techniques are fundamental to good posture, good posture will help us to look after our spine, a healthy spine will look after us as we progress through the years. You will be attending a small class (maximum 8 persons per class), which means I can focus on giving all my clients valuable attention and allows me to help you correct your technique at an early stage.
You will find my Pilates classes challenging and relaxing, working on the basic principles developed by Joseph Pilates I encourage total focus and concentration and always end the class with a few moments of relaxation. After a session you will feel you have worked your body but leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
